Victor Bryant Moore

Victor Moore made his final transition on the afternoon of July 18, 2024. He was born in 1967, in Gladewater, Texas to Dorothy Moore and Charles Scott. He graduated from Gladewater High School in 1985 where he excelled in sports, particularly football. After graduation, he attended Henderson County Junior College (now Trinity Valley Junior College) on a football scholarship and later transferred to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Victor left college and joined the United States Army. He also excelled at boxing.

Never venturing far from home he began his career in Trucking. He loved being behind the wheel all day and found great satisfaction in hauling freight that people used on a day-to-day basis. He took great pride in truck driving. He was employed by Energy Transfer in Longview, TX.

Victor accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where he attended until his health failed. Victor loved the Lord and served the church for the greater honor and glory of God.

Bryston, his only child, was his entire world. His son gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. He was proud of his son and his family and friends will hold dear the stories we will be privileged to tell him one day of his funny loving father. Victor loved his family and would make a point to tell them that he loved and appreciated them as often as possible, sometimes with a hug but most frequently with a smile.

Victor was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sallie Mae Moore; maternal great-grandmother, Birdie Snoddy Turner; maternal grandfather, Grammar Moore; maternal great-grandmother, Laura Moore Powell; paternal grandmother, Christine Williams Timmons; daughter, Victoria Lynn Moore, and brother Andre Scott.

Victor is survived by his son Bryston Moore; his loving partner, Precious Gipson, and her children Anthony, Thomas, Thomisha, and Sha’marian; his parents Dorothy Moore and Charles Scott; His sisters Audrea Moore and Christa Scott, and brothers Pedro Boykin and Christian Scott; Aunt Frankie Alexander; Uncle Otis Alexander; Uncle Jessie Timmons Jr.; Uncle Bruce Timmons; Uncle Fredrick Williams; Aunt Era Jean Williams; Aunt Ever Grace Moore Derrick; Aunt Blanche Moore Phillips; Uncle Richard Brown; Uncle Vince Williams: very special niece Brittany Moore; Nephews Wilbert Nichols and Tyrien Brown; Niece Brielle Brown; Cousins Odette Alexander, EJ Hawthorne, and Evan Hawthorne.
