Service for Mrs. Varie C. Toombs will be held Friday 1:30pm at her residence 2352 Bates St. Longview, Tx Mrs. Toombs slip peaceful from us on Friday October 23,2020 at her home. Varie Corine Toombs was born to the parentage of Bettie and Floyd Rowe on October 4, 1919. She graduated from Timpson High School. She married K.C. Stephenson and to this union one daughter was born Bettye Rhee. Following this union she married Elbert Toombs and to this union three sons were added to the family: Broderick Lynn, Darren Leon, and Burt Jurado Toombs. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Galilee Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a dedicated Teacher, Evangelist, Choir member and WWC President. She was especially known for her beautiful singing. Mrs. Toombs entered into eternal life at the blessed age of 101 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husbands , 1 son-in-law, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 daughter (Mildred) and 2 nephews. Others left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Larry, Verisa (Clarence, Jr.) Mervard, Marvetta, (Dewayne), John. Jr., Kelvin (Anita), Kennard, Derrick, Ja'Mar (Natasha), Brittany (Dexter), Lavar, Deante, Julian, Utissa, Jocelyn, 1 Nephew W.C. Wallice (Geneva), 1 cousin Vada Mae and a host of other relatives and friends. Bigham Mortuary would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family & Friends of Mrs. Varie R.
