Dr. Steven D Beddingfield of Lone Star, Tx passed away at the age of 63 on November 22, 2020.
Steve was born in North Carolina on May 29, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents, James D Beddingfield and Mary M Beddingfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Lynn Beddingfield of Lone Star, Texas, granddaughters Kira Bird, Crysta Bird and Trinity Bird and sister Jamie Cangelose, her husband Tim Cangelose and their daughters, Dr. Cameron Cangelose and Kelsey Cangelose Alexander.
Steve graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Biology and went on to receive doctorates in Botany and Zoology from the University of Alabama.
He had an insatiable love of nature that was displayed in his research publications on marine life, his fertile garden and his breathtaking watercolor paintings and drawings. He was known by his friends, family and every four-legged being to have a kind and generous heart.
