Service for Mrs.Marie Winkley 100 will be 2 p.m. Saturday,January 5,2013 at Parkview Baptist Church in Longview, TX. With Rev.J.C.Watkins,Officiating. Bed of Rest will follow in Perry Clay Cemetery,Longview, TX. Under the Caring Hands of Bigham Mortuary of Longview, TX. Visitation hours will be from 12:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday,January 4,2013 at the funeral home. Marie daughter of the late Henry Winkley and Mary Howard was born in Longview,TX on Brown St. on March 10,1912.She united at a early age with the Kilgore Baptist Church in Kilgore,TX.She was baptized by the side of the road in a creek.She at a early age in life married Sylvester Mayfield Sr.From this marriage 10 children was born.She was a faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and work in the Mission Department.Sis.Winkley love telling the GOODNESS of her LORD On Sunday morning December 30,2012 at 12:15 a.m. she left this old world,for her new home in glory.She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons,Sylvester Jr.,Alvester,Henry Mayfield and daughter Mary Allen. Her sweet memory will every be in the hearts of her children,Daughter;Helen J.Williams,Eva L. Baham of Longview,TX and Sylvia Dawkins of Ft.Worth, TX. Sons;Robert E.Mayfield and Buster V.Mayfield of Longview,TX.Sister:Margie F.Hilton of Longview, TX and Brother:Willie J.Winkley of Ft.Worth,TX. Also left are 36 grandchildren,76 great grandchildren,uncounted Great great children on the 5th generation,nieces,nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
