Bobby R. Portley Jr.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Bobby Portley Jr., a beloved son, brother, and

friend. Bobby, 42, of Longview, Texas, left this world following a stroke on October 10, 2024. Born on

August 25, 1982, in Longview, he was a resident of the community he loved.

Bobby was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and infectious laughter. He had a deep faith and a

passion for the Lord that shone through in his interactions with others. He was always ready with a

helping hand and a warm smile, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

For 10 years, Bobby dedicated himself to the open road as an over-the-road truck driver, later

establishing himself as an owner-operator. He took immense pride in his work, finding satisfaction in

providing for himself and his family. Beyond his career, Bobby cherished spending time with his loved

ones, enjoying music, and sharing laughter with friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving father; Bobby R. Portley Sr.

and sister; Jasmin Portley, along with a host of Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were like family. His memory will

forever be etched in the hearts of those whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and love.
