Audree Faline Fuchs, 67, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Born on
October 5, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, Audree was a strong and independent woman who led a remarkable life.
Audree proudly served her country in both the United States Air Force and the Navy. As an
Electronics Technician aboard the USS McKee, she took part in Operation Desert Shield and
Desert Storm in 1990-1991. For her service, she was awarded the National Defense Service
Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. She retired from the military as a veteran in 1998.
Audree was an avid crafter, spending countless hours crocheting custom afghans and creating
beautiful counted cross-stitch ornaments for her friends and family. But she also had a
competitive edge - she was an excellent billiards player, winning and running pool tournaments
throughout her life. She helped train racehorses on tracks in Prescott and Phoenix, Arizona, and
even raced cars, building her car "One Shot" #34 with friends and competing on a dirt track near
Lemoore, California.
Perhaps her most beloved hobby was in the kitchen. She loved to cook and bake, collecting
recipes anywhere she could find them, and was known for her signature dishes, including grilled
tri-tip, lumpia, Texas brownies, and guacamole - meals that brought friends together and created
lasting memories.
A celebration of Audree’s life and service will be held at the VFW Post 4002 in Longview, TX, on Saturday, May 31st at 2 pm.
Audree will be remembered for her strength, independence, and adventurous spirit. She will be
deeply missed but never forgotten.
