Her Beginning; Mrs. Alice Marie Torrey Simmons was Born to the parentage of the late Sidney and Tennie Torrey. Early Childhood; She Attened Fredonia School and later C. B. Dansby. Her Christian Encounter; She join St. James Baptist Church at an early age, serving on the usher board And later became president. Her Adulthood; She married Raymond D. Simmons in 1977. She was a loving and devoted person, her word was her bond. She enjoyed fishing, volunteering for the Salvation Army. Her Demise; Her life came to an end November 4 when she answered her Lord call. Work History; City of Longview, Health care provider for 35 yrs until retirement in March 2009 Her Legacy; She is preceded in death by her husband, sister Inell, Marshall, Charles and Henry Torrey. A grandson Andarius Torrey. She leaves to mourn; Daughter; Sandra Terry (Johnnie) Grandson Markiese (Deiree) Propes Galena Park, TX. 3 Great grandchildren; Deondrae Torrey Texarkana, TX, Jayce Propes, Junee Propes. Sister; Betty (Curtis) Dudley, Longview, TX, Mary Brown, Longview, TX. Brother; Sidney Torrey, Beaumont, TX A host of niece and nephews.
